Is the winning in x hours message the same for everyone so reveals invisible plans to build mines in the future etc?

Second q
Is a specialist worth x drillers in a battle? Sometimes I see battle resolution that doesn't make sense with the numbers. Sorry if this was explained somewhere I must have missed it.

I believe so. However that end game message can be 'tricked'.

In the dying hours of a game, an opponent sent everything at a Mine of mine. ;) I lowered the shields and removed the drills so the 'prediction' showed i would lose the mine and the game would take longer to end. Of course I had a saboteur/diplomat combination nearby which repelled all the incoming drills and wrapped up the game much quicker, before EVERYONE would have a piece of me. :)

No, it does not include any information that you wouldn't be able to glean yourself. I.e. If your opponent has a mine scheduled, it will not take this into account. The same is true for your opponent's time machines.

Some specialists give combat bonuses. You should read the descriptions of each, and check "combat preview" to get an accurate run-down of what the math is.
