Why is there no automatic matchmaking for rated games?

Questions about rules, how things work, etc.

  • Seems like this just allows friends to join rated games together and unbalance the match.

  • The other players can counter this by making alliances of their own. And if there are more friends than strangers, the friends will probably turn on themselves at some point

  • I believe the idea has been tossed around a lot. You're right, the rated games can be easily unbalanced by friends. While tw2000 also has a point, I think that it's still inherently unfair. Non-rated games I believe are fine with friends. Rated, though, should be fixed.
