Sub whitelisting system?

Questions about rules, how things work, etc.

  • I've been playing a game for a while, and I've noticed something that is annoying. I've had times where I was coordinating an attack with an ally of mine and all of the sudden my sentry would shoot at him while he was flanking an enemy. It would be useful to click on enemy subs and press "Whitelist" or something. To tell sentries to ignore it. Could this be added?

  • I think this was intentional to prevent backstabbing (imagine you whitelisted an "ally's" sub with navigator who can then just take your sentry's outpost with minimal damage).
The sentry is an offensive defensive unit, meaning it is viable for stopping retaliation moves (putting your sentry in the front lines to weaken enemy countermoves).
In your scenario, consider just moving your sentry, or having your friend attack in groups smaller than the enemy within the sonar range (20 should be the minimum).

  • Also too much work for too little reward-ignoring subs probably adds code, and benefit is that a few people are happy

I ment like you select it and it would be next to where gift would be. And you could remove it at any time. So if Player B whitelist Player A's sub(s). Player B's Sentry would not fire on whitelisted sub(s). However at any time, player B can remove the whitelist causing the sentry to be allowed to fire on it.
