Is there a max limit on troops?
I'm about to have a master of electricity. But I'm maxed at 430. Will this make my new max 730?

Also it says the game is a week long. Does it end at 7 days or continue until 200 nept and or elimination of all opponents?

You have no max limit. People can gift you driller to go above and beyond your driller cap. YOu factories can only produce up to your cap

MoE Increases cap to 300 so yes, 730 should be your new cap.

Seven days was a "Promotion" thing. 7 says sounds better than "A 10-15 day long game of diplomacy and strategy"

My first game, I started gloating about coming second. The 7 days finished, but the game did not. I ended finishing third, and the other guy laughed at me. In fact, I think I've only had about 3-5 (out of 108) games finish in less than 7 days.

If your current cap is 430, that must mean your Tinkerer is at an outpost with a max 10 shield. So your new cap will be 430 - 30 + 300 = 700 when you promote.

Does the kings effect work even if no specialists are involved in combat?

Yes. The king only takes driller numbers into account, it doesn't involve any specialists. And it is also a global effect, so he doesn't have to take part in the combat either.

MoE doesnt lower sheild max charge so yes it will be 730.

It will be 700 because you are losing the tinkerer's 30 bonus.
