SUBTERFUGE Forums

With the new mods being promoted and all the talk about cleaning and organizing the forums, it got me thinking; would it be a good idea to add one or more additional forums?

The main ones I think we could use are a Tournament Recruiting/Results Forum and/or an Organized Forum Games Forum.
This would help to make the General Forum much easier to handle, for sure.

I particularly would like to see the results. It would be great to have what would be essentially a trophy case of Subterfuge. This could include the ESG winners, any tournament champs and runner-ups, etc.
It could also include something like a compilation of our current Captain's Logs from ESG06, because truly, they are awesome and it is only Day 1.

Perhaps another could be for YouTube video links? I have a feeling there will be a lot more of us making them in the near future. Bangerz has lead the way.

I don't know. It seems to me it might be helpful, but you guys might think it would be a pain in the ass. Just throwing out some ideas.

This is a good idea, but sadly is mods can't add another forum section (of my knowledge). The only people who could add one are Ron and Noel. We have two options that are both unlikely to happen. 1) Have a mod email the Devs and ask them to add another forum. 2) Have a mod email the devs and ask them to promote a mod to a forum admin with the red names.

I do not think we should do either of these, yet, we can sticky important topics and for now, that's enough.

Just curious, but if they are not willing or able to perform the duties of administrator, why do you think they wouldn't promote someone else to do it?

Could we make a full new forum? Community develop it?

Randomly threw this one together. If someone cuold look into it, see if you can make an account, if we actually want to go through with this

Another forum may only fragment the small subterfuge community even more. Having data on this official forum, wiki and ANOTHER community forum may diminish rather than bolster the games. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah. I think I'm gonna shut it down. Although, wasn't a complete loss. I know how to run a forum now

I totally agree. The last thing we want to do is divide attention in multiple spots.

That said, I still don't understand why the devs would be opposed to handing off the duties of administrator, if they themselves are unwilling to do it.
