Get back the Double Agent

  • Hello,
    I wonder if there is a way to get back his DA after his attack?
    Maybe if we send him as a gift and just after we send dillers at the enemys's outpost?

  • Only way I can think of is to DA it again (which is pretty pointless) or capture the outpost the DA is going to/at and use a Hypnotist.

  • I'm not sure I understand the question. However, the double agent is a defensive specialist. Whenever an enemy has a large force coming at you, you send out the DA and it kills all the drillers and swaps ownership of any specialists involved. You lose the DA in the process but he can be regained if you engage in combat with him again or if you hypnotize him after taking you opponents base (probably a hard task since you opponent now has a DA) otherwise your opponent will just take the DA and use it however he wants, but you bases will be successfully protected.

  • Mainly if you can capture the base where the DA is heading to before it arrives you can DA it back either with a driller and a admiral to swap it while your main force is passing through it or taking that base from another angle.

  • The most common way to keep your Double Agent is to gain control of the outpost he is headed to before he arrives. Then you can send a 1 driller sub his way and he will switch back to your side.

    Also, if you happen to have a Hypnotist and Elder+Pirate/Nav+2 Pirates/Elder+Nav+ Helmsman, you can immediately retake the Double Agent and infinitely reuse it.

    Feynman! Welcome :) I can see in our game that you've chosen to capture the other base and take the DA back. Good choice, though not perfect. There is a way of getting the DA back right after it engaged in combat. I have used it in several games with other forumers, maybe they know what I am talking about? A couple of other specialists are needed though, and a lot less than high commander jay suggested *hint*
