I have a question about the actual range of sonar.

Zoomed in to the maximum possible level, where does sonar range of my opponents end?

For example, can they see anything touching the line, even most of the factory / generator sits outside it? Does it only count if it touches the graphic for a factory or generator, or are the shield rings included (seems unlikely to me).

I've been searching for the answer to this but couldn't find anything, sorry if it has been answered before.

If a line is passed the center of the outpost it can be seen. That can be hard to dot ermine if you are trying to tell if they can see a base off of your sonar, but if it's one of your bases just check and see if his sonar line goes past the center of your outpost.

fun little tip:
You can always tell if sonar reaches a outpost by the hue change.

-Select outpost who's range reaches the outpost in question (Example: you want to know if an enemies outpost can see one of yours- click their outpost)
-Upon selection anything within that outposts range will lighten in color by a tiny shade.

This really helps me when the outposts are just on the edge of the sonar range.
