Four engineers equals 200% bonus with local

I though I saw it mentioned somewhere that if you have the engineers bonus exceed 100% and win the battle you'll actually gain troops equal to how ever much it exceeds the bonus. For example if I have 100 drilled and a 200% engineer bonus if I win I will then have 200 drillers.
Is this actually accurate?

We think so. Although I don't think anybody's ever tried it. We will have a definite answer in a week or so, there's some of us doing a sandbox to test these things out.
However, be warned - drillers killed by king or general global abilities WILL NOT be replaced by the engineers

No. At least not phrased this way.
You will recover a percentage based on how many drillers DIE during the fight. If you don't lose any, then you don't get any, no matter how many Engineers are at play.

You can gain drills. Use 3 engineers in a sub, and when it lands if you win, you should Gaij drills. Not sure about defense. Testing time!!

Yes sorry. I don't know what I was thinking with the example. Revised if I had 101 drillers and lost 100 would I get 200 with a 200% bonus.
Thanks everyone for your answers! I actually just tested it out and it turns out that yes you will gain drillers. In my case I gained 5 because I have 125% bonus and only lost 20 guys to shields but when your stuck in one factory with 300 drillers and only 150 production you'll take every extra for you can.
