  • Sorry if I'm being a noob here, but how do you use Pirate to target a sub? I have to decide where the sub is going before I can add specialists and drillers. I can't target a sub until I add the Pirate, yet I need to decide where to send the sub first, so by the time I can put the Pirate on board, I'll have to be attacking an outpost anyway.

  • You choose the outpost, then drag it like a normal sub, but instead of going to an outpost, you can lock it onto a sub. After being locked onto the sub, the pirate will automatically be onboard, after which point you can add drillers and specs to how you want them

  • hence the name of the specialist, the pirate can be used for intercepting gift subs or for throwing the classic queen-killing machine combo (Pirate, Martyr, and Navigator)

I barely use the pirate though, because I find little-to no use to them.
