Nav out of sonar range
Posted: Sun Nov 13, 2016 1:17 pmI've I send a pirate/nav/assassin care package into uncharted waters, will I get any sonar coverage or will my sub just be blindly cruising in the darkness?
No, pretty much you are in the dark. You can't see what is going on outside of your sonar range, and your sub doesn't give you a little bubble of info. if you're a gambler you could change course to an outpost and there is a slight chance, I assume next-to-none, that you will kill something. But, again, you won't be able to see subs that are launched away from it, so its almost entirely useless.
The only way it isn't useless is if it is already chasing a sub. Then it doesn't matter if the sub leaves sonar range, because your sub is still targeting it
