A gift with nobody to love.

So I forget, and I realize this almost never happens, but for curiosity sake,
What happens when a gift gets "tagged" (changes color, stops becoming a gift, and heads to the nearest same-colored outpost-) and there is no ally outposts to return to?

Say Olive, a turtle stuck on a lonely island, sees a tasty exchange between neighboring opponents and decides to snag it with his trusty pirate. Pirate targets and launches at the gift, but simultaneously his nieghboring opponents see this and get pissed. So they rush him and Olive's lonely island is no longer his own, forcing his queen to the lonely life of traveling in an mobile RV with only a helmsman and a navigator for company. What happens to the her trusty pirate, for what home does he return to? and what of the gift that Olive greedily snatched?

These are the questions that haunt me late at night.
Answer me this question and claim your reward.

I would put drillers on the gift going to whatever outpost it was destined for from the beginning. But what do I know

The pirate will probably return to the nearest outpost. All cargo on the gift sub would be added on to the sub with the pirate. If that makes more than 3 specialists, I don't know...
