Come on in, learn and share.

I've sketched out the beginnings of a Wiki for Subterfuge.

The initial content consist of game rules, a re-writing of specialist abilities (trying to be formulaic about it) and menus and structure for strategy, specialist combos, and puzzle help.

Awesome! That's a lot of work. I often look for Wikia's when in need of help for a game, so it's great that it now exists.

Well done! I appreciate your effort. If the game keeps growing, at this rate, it's going to get really popular.

I am terrible about wiki edits, so I will leave this to the experts, but add to the specialist combinations>>Homing Missile. Nav+Martyr. Can combine pirate for increased potential of success, but that's a big tradeoff.

I call this a "dancing martyr" because it dances when targeting base to base... Dancing merrily... Creating chaos as it dances.

A homing missile is what I'd call a smuggler navigator martyr: comes flying in an there's no escape. Lol

But each to their own

I like it, "dancing martyr".
The smuggler wouldn't help the homing, that's where the pirate comes in to the equation.

Anyway, I had an idea. How about combining the Queen/Princess with Navigator and Helmsman/General/Smuggler.
It's for escaping your queen from conflict and attacks, and even 'could' escape "dancing martyrs".
I would like to call it...
"Queen's Asylum" or "Queen's Farrm"

I believe helmsman (or admiral) nav queen could be known as the Royal Escape Vessel.

The Admiral or Helmsman's x2 allows the Escape Vessel to float indefinitely, since pirates can't catch up.
The Navigator allows the Vessel to drift at sea indefinitely.
The Queen cannot be apprehended while on board.

The only reliable way to eliminate an Escaped Queen is to have one player follow behind the blind Vessel with a Dancing Martyr, or a nav/helmsman/martyr, and arrange for a designated triggerman to send a pirate (or nav/pirate) to detonate the martyr when appropriate.

While intuitively it seems like you could run from anything with a navigator/(helmsman or admiral), that isn't actually the case. If a pirate is chasing your sub, every time you change course, the pirate's angle will change and catch up just a bit.

If you can take an outpost before the pirate catches up you'll be safe, since the pirate would then return to its owner's closest base, but if you cannot take an outpost, eventually you will be caught by the pirate.

Bangerz explains this well in one of his YouTube videos. Here's the link:
