I am stuck here too. I can promote to general, this will bring the elder sub down to 13. And I can promote to security chief, but this brings it only down to 12 because the shield isn't charging fast enough. Smuggler and helmsman are obviously not needed. I don't need to get faster away from Kyburz. Pirate is also not needed at Kyburz because I can send a sub to one of the other outposts and I get sub to sub combat. Double agent, assassin and saboteur are all good to get rid of the other sub. Inspector could help to survive the elder sub, but I can't get it to Kyburz in time. And I don't see how the pirate at vintgar can help. I can only target the infiltrator sub, but this doesn't help with the elder too. I'm totally lost.

Edit: Ok, thanks to Stefan i got it now. It's so simple once you found the solution.

In guessing the only way to take out the elderly would be if you were the enemies queen you could hire the hypnotist who also can promote to king.

The is taking over the other ship upgrading the navigator to admiral so every other ship moves faster to kill off their queen guessing like chess

I had a situation where I needed to reduce the quantity of drillers on an enemy's incoming sub, without wasting drillers. I sent an unmanned sub at it with a a Thief aboard. I lost no drillers, and reduced the sub's troop count. My thief was captured, but that was fine.
With this in mind, is there a global ability you could use to your advantage?

[*]Send both specialists from Vintgar to Kyburz.
[*]At 1.7h promote the Lieutenant to General.
[*]At 4.0h hire either two saboteurs, or two assasins.
[*]Launch both of them to Calhamer separately, one at 4.2h and the other at 4.3h. This takes care of the Elder.
[*]When the pirate arrives at Kyburz, send a sub to the sub coming from the northwest. This will use the pirate to drain 10 enemy drillers, and since the Inspector just maxed the shields of Kyburz, the remaining drillers on the sub aren't effective.

Finally solved Advanced 3 Today, when I finally realized what I had to do I felt pretty depressed cause I spent like almost 2 hours just staring at the screen trying to get my base recharged in time….
