I found this thread after googling for a solution, since I'd been stuck on this for a while, even though it really seemed like my orders were super optimized. I had managed, before the end of the 48h, to capture 3 enemy outposts and get enough drillers for a second mine – just not on the same outpost.

Turns out the key thing is to promote the existing specialist to Navigator right away. It then becomes super easy. I think that if you miss this tiny thing you're in for a lot of struggling that will amount to nothing. It's a shame that such a seemingly innocuous choice is what the whole challenge rests on.

Fuckit. This is where the game went from neat and complicated to needlessly abstruse and finicky. I was super interested in this game until I hit this one.

If you can't beat it (I had a really hard time too) then move on, look through this thread for hints. Don't give up subterfuge because of this one

I did beat it. This level just acted as a roundabout way of explaining precisely how shields work, which could've been done with a sentence. Either way, this was where the game stopped being fun for me, which I still feel is relevant feedback. Thank you, though.

We talked about this kind of thing here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1836. Get into a real game, see if the dynamic changes, and try to have fun with it

Hey epicface, welcome to the forums. If you look at the hint it says ''You need to improve your mining rate by quite a bit''. One way to do is building more mines, but there is another way which increases your mining rate while also reducing your opponent's. Can you find it?

I can't seem to be able to do this...

Try to find what niverio was talking about. But also, as I pointed out earlier in this thread, you don't need to beat every single tutorial. You're playing online games which is where the real game lies. Don't get hung up on the puzzles if you can't beat them.

Hi. I have been at this puzzle for a day now and can't seem to clear it. After going through the thread here, I'm convinced my solution is correct. Even the prediction says I'll win in 25 hours.

But the puzzle isn't accepting my solution.
