  • Also confused.
What does the x and y axis represent in your graph?

I'm assuming that the pie chart shows the percentage of time you allied with that particular color player, correct?

  • Yeah lol, like you (might have :P) learned at school, you need labels on your graphs!!!! -1 mark!!!

Anyway, you should make stats like the number of allies you had and your position

  • Sorry about not explaining. The first two are number of players in each game, with players along the bottom, games up the side. Pie graph is percentages of time I l,aged with each. Second post is what rank k came, once again my rank on the bottom number of games up the side. And pie graph is my final position, each slice corresponding to my position. My colour and my allies colours are still to come.

  • Good on you for learning and trying this stuff. Keep it up.

To help you learn, unfortunately the data is invalid for your standings pie chart. You need to 1) remove eliminations and resigns (or track them separately) and 2) normalize your data to a common scale.

    1) tracking eliminations/resigns
In a 1v1 game, if you're eliminated you still come second.
In a 8p game you may survive and come 4th.

This data alone would suggest your result in the first game was better. Which it's clearly not.

    2) Normalizing data
Bit detailed for off topic forum chat, but essentially it's making your positions the same value regardless of game size.

Eg 10p game coming 4th is top 50%, but coming 4th in a 4p game is bottom 50%.

Without these changes youll always end up with misleading results.

So next time you hear someone on TV quoting some statistic, question the data. ;)

Bit intense... does anyone know any jokes?
