Since I began subs in December, I've kinda put reading aside. I used to read a shit ton and I'm starting to get back into it. What's your 2 favorite books of all time and your most recently read book/currently reading?
Currently reading: Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood
Two faves: I, Claudius by Robert Graves and Anywhere but Here by Mona Simpson

Dude, I was literally about to say that. Have you read the Stormlight Archives? Easily top 5 series of all time for me.
Also, Orson Scott Card's stuff is awesome. If you haven't read Ender's Game, you haven't lived, but the rest of his stuff is also amazing. Speaker for the Dead, Ender's Shadow, The Worthing Saga, etc.
Everything Tolkien
The Pendragon Cycle by Steven R Lawhead
October Sky by... Somebody. Can't remember the name.

Yes. The brotherband chronicles. I loved those books!
I've always had a thing for Percy Jackson (Greek)(all 10 books now). Although really, Rick Riordan is amazing in general. The Kane Chronicles (Egyptian) were good and so is the new Magnus Chase (Norse) one. Can't wait for the next one in the series.
I am Number Four, The Fifth Wave, Harry Potter and each of their respective series. I just love books in general
Also: currently reading
The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer

My favorite books of the fantasy genre are Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles tied with Lord Of the Rings.

Ooooh, this is right up my alley!
Niv, Name of the Wind and the Wise Man's Fear are so great. The Doors of Stone is supposed to be this year, too.
The best series I have ever read is the Song of Ice and Fire - Game of Thrones and its sequels. They are incredible. Some of you might be a little young for them, still - but when you get out of high school, pick them up. Or now, if your parents won't object.
My favorite book ever? Such a hard question. I won't even try, I'll just give a list of honorable mentions:
GRR Martin's series ASOIAF.
Lord of the Rings, Tolkien.
The Dark, John McGahern.
Catcher in the Rye, JD Salinger.
At Swim-Two-Birds, Flann O'Brien.
The Eyes of God, John Marco.
Dragonlance Legends, Weis and Hickman.
Princess Bride, William Goldman.
The Once and Future King, TH White.
The Dark Half, Stephen King.
Tenth of December, George Saunders.
Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde.
Macbeth and King Lear, William Shakespeare.
Everything by James Joyce and everything by Seamus Heaney.
Idk. That's off the top of my head, and I am sure I am missing things that deserve to be on there.
I'll give Harry Potter a mention, too.
Most recent books?
I read Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn, and I also read Dark Money, Jane Mayer. Both were great.

I recently had the read that for school. I know people say "it's a classic" and "your need to read it, catcher in the rye is amazing"
I personally dislike the book. The main character (I can't even remember his name) just whines his entire way through the story.
