    Hmmmmm, sounds familiar

Silver (and the rest of you who are unaware) thats what turned out to be the Crappy hires game, from over two months ago. It still hasn't ended. After a while the game started crashing with so many specialists, and we decided to blow some up. Then we got bored and blew some more outposts up. After a while it became our goal to take out so many outposts that it would be impossible to win through domination. Now we are trying to decide how to end the game without everyone resigning.

You know you can still park specialists and drillers at the bombed out outposts, right-
    oh.
    OH.
The game ends when there is only one player left alive. Resigns or eliminations are the only way to handle that.

  • You guys should blow up all but one outpost and everyone brings everything right next to it and you guys fight over that one outpost and the winner wins and everyone else reisgns.

  • This martyr came from a forum regulars game.
It failed to kill olive (crisismana) but forced him to stop turtling.

Backstory: crisismana was one of the most aggressive/tactical players in subterfuge. Really tough. The game was near ending, and we managed to reduce him to a single outpost - ahti. But with 3 stacked hires, it was a stalemate.

So I coordinated with pink to take gabler (far left) which was out of olives vision. As soon as i did, my smuggler/martyr came flying at ahti at x3 speed. Beige (6payh) used his pirate to the south to trigger it. We tried to coordinate this during his sleep period but he woke up and moved. Still if the game had lasted longer he might have been eliminated.

Not my favourite martyr move, but it was memorials because it was a FAST martyr during an incredibly intense and exciting game.

  • Wow, crisis and 6, that's gotta be an oldie
My faith has found a resting place,
    Not in device or creed;
    I trust the ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
    I need no other argument,
    I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

I thought I was in that one, seeing as my first forum game was with Crisis. But no, that game is older than even I.

I've never seen a martyr play like that carter. Brilliant, even if it didn't get the kill

There's recap videos of the game somewhere on the forum.

This smuggler/martyr had to be fast against crisis because he was a tough player, and he slept maybe 4hrs between logins.

It's not my favourite martyr delivery... I might post that story later. (I started but accidentally deleted it). Not that anyone cares or visits these forums any more. :p

Hey, some of us don't have time to join a new game right now so they have to browse the forums constantly instead and appreciate stories in the meantime! Plus I've learned a lot from stories/examples/recaps on these forums, definitely improved my game.
