Christmas Game - The Season of Giving

Normal rules, balanced map, 8 players. The only difference is that each player gets one 'gift' that they can give in the course of the game.
The rule is that you choose any sub that is not yours and not attacking you, and force the owner to turn it into a gift sub. You need to be able to see it on your sonar as well. You can't force a gift if the sub is attacking your outpost/sub.
So for example, Player A is an ally, being attacked by Player B. I can choose to use my 'gift' by telling Player B in public chat to gift a specific attacking sub. Merry Christmas Player A (and a lump of coal to Player B).
I only have one gift, so hopefully I used it wisely...and hopefully Player A returns the favour.
Not sure if this would work or not but I thought I'd throw it out there to see. Anyone interested? I'm sure lots could go wrong but maybe it would work....leave a comment if this is something you'd be interested in.
