EDIT: I did some research and the Swiss format sounds great.
Basically it is just everyone plays everyone and whoever has the best record after wins.

Well not really, swiss is used for chess tournaments and you can't possibly play 100 games in the tournament.

According to wikipedia:
Pairing procedure
The first round is either drawn at random or seeded according to some prior order, such as rating (in chess) or last year's performance. All participants then proceed to the next round in which winners are pitted against winners, losers are pitted against losers, and so on. In subsequent rounds, each competitor faces an opponent with the same, or almost the same, cumulative score. No player is paired up with the same opponent twice....
