ESG 07 idea listing

Hello, here will be the idea listing for ESG 07.

I will start with an idea that has been played as another game, by niverio.

"Hide and Seek"; the objective of this game is to find your target(set by a neutral moderator)'s queen. You get 1 point for finding it, and get subtracted 1 point for being eliminated. However, if you eliminate someone else, you get added one point.

Can be played with 8 or 10 players, preferably 10.

Blind, where you can only send or reroute subs so that they land at an outpost or target a sub which is outside your current sonar range. Here, sonar is bad lol

Alternate scoring

Players earn points by completing a set list of objectives.

5 for first place
3 for second
1 for third
2 for having the most queens in your radar
1 for every person funding you
3 for every queen hunter
1 for elimenating a player
2 for assassinating a player
And so on. The exact list can be added if we choose this mode. I think that these are enough for you to get the point.

Difference between eliminating and assassinating a player?

I get the point, could be pretty fun.

Elimination = any form of queen kill (taking over outpost, martyr, etc.)
Assassination = using an assassin for queen kill

Timed hires

You can't hire a specialist until you have 5 hires queued up. Once you have 5 hires waiting, you must hire all 5. The cycle starts again.

You are my one and only..

You are only allowed to hire one specialist. You can hire promotable specialists but not promote them.

The specialist must be hired within the first six hours of the game.

I would love this, but this makes the game very luck dependant where only the first three options that you are given can be chosen. If we can find a way to make it in such way that one can have only one specialist, but can choose which specialist that is.

Well, the whole point of this is for there to be some luck, otherwise this would just be a no spec game.

Besides, (arguably) the best unpromoted specialist is the helmsman, and that can be countered.

It also makes you be extremely careful of your specialists, because once they're gone, they aren't coming back and you're left with just the drillz man.
