I am not sure I would have divided all the specs up like that, but I think this idea is awesome.

I wonder what if you choose something but never get it?

Yeah. It might be better to choose 4 hours in to the game. That way, you at least get to see your first two rounds of hires.

Not sure I posted this one before or I changed my mind.

7th day:

Be the top at the end of the 7th day. Mine, cheat, lie whatever. As long as your name is top at 168 hrs you win. Everyone else kill themselves or resign from bottom up.

Fight for the golden crown:

The top 3 must fight each other. The rest are just pawns in their games until the pawn gets knighted and becomes a new top 3. The new top 3 continues the viscous cycle of fighting each other and knocking each other out. The other 7 scheme and help their way to get into the top 3. Only the golden crown matters. Every 2 days the top 3 gets reassessed, titles are passed out, the fallen lords are commemorated or laughed at and the game continues.

Twinned hearts:

You get 1 partner in his game and only 1 but you can still partner with other 2 to get an advantage over others. Be careful who you select as a partner though as if he dies, you must cancel all orders and wait for your own death.

Offense is the best defense:

You can't hire anything from column 2. Alternatively defense is the best offense, no hires from column one. No funny business, no hires from column three.

You can have cake and eat it too:

Play a normal game of subterfuge and defy the whole purpose of a ESG or a EGS.

Down with monarchs:

At 3 days the bottom 5 form an alliance versus the top 3. After 7 days the bottom 5 join an alliance and attack the top 3. At 12 days the bottom 5 join an alliance and attacks the top 3.

I forgot my wallet at home:

LIke fractals but you have to leave some subs behind whenever you move, 50% or 20% have to stay behind. You can keep sending drillers just each time you have to leave by x %. You can queue successive moves but they have to be 30 minutes apart or more for the time it takes you to go back home and get your wallet or purse.

Catan:

Everyone selects a faction defense, offense or other and must hire from their faction. However they can trade with others. May be funnier if people get random factions or they get random factions but there are even numbers of all the various factions.

Mine:

Everyone builds a mine at 24 hours. Pick a spot plop it down. Failure to build a mine means forfeit. No other mines can be built. No funding can be provided.

Avatar:

Red, Sky, Brown, Navy are the 4 nations. Pick your water bender and fight it out. All alliances must be announced. Once all the alliances are announced the 4 nations figure out what is the best way from their nation to survive and win.

Supply and demand:

Partner with someone and trade specialist like crazy. Have one person be the supply and 1 person be the offense with all the offensive specialist. Trade bases to maximize your supply from your tycoons while gifting all those drillers to maximize your kings or admirals or whatever.
