Fellow Subterfugers!
We stand at the dawn of a new era! The days ruled by Kings and Generals are coming to a close! We shall soon be free of their tyranny!
Why, you may ask? Well, my children, let me tell you:
This is going to be a game where no specialist stacking is allowed.
Yeah. You heard me.
You are only allowed to have one of each specialist at any given time. You see, I've noticed (like everyone else) that the only (ONLY) viable strategy in this game has become specialist stacking (Be it through kings, admirals, generals, engineers... Etc.). Not only is this cancerous, it's killed the variety of the game and made specialist hiring mostly luck (a first-pick hypno often wins games.) That's no fun.
So yeah. Only one of each specialist. If you promote a specialist, you are then allowed to hire the pre-promote (I.e. Promoting your Nav allows you to hire another), but otherwise: No sir. Trading specialists/gifting specialists must follow these rules as well. If you are sent a copy, you must immediately send it back.
In the unlikely scenario that you are unable to hire an original specialist, you may attempt to trade with your neighbors, but otherwise you must allow the cloned specialist to be captured.
You may only have 2 saboteurs and 2 assassins at a time (1 hire's worth)
Hypnotists are the exception to the rule. If you hypnotize specialists that are clones, you may keep them. However, you MUST announce the hypnotizing to the entire game.
Join me, brothers, in ushering in a new dawn of balance, variety, and self-implemented-limitations!
