A very elite club. Only the highest posters may enter. A 500 post minimum on the forums is required to enter. Leave the rest of them behind. Join the High Rollers.

(Exceptions can be made. Speak with me, and I will make a final decision.)

Edit: the post count has been dropped to a minimum of 400, after reviewing the player list and seeing that my first estimate was too high, otherwise, same rules apply.

Math, I think 500 is a reasonable number. There are only about 25 active forum regulars these days, and if there are about 5 clans, there'd by about 5 in each. There are about 5 people over 500, with a few more to make it soon :P
Maybe making it 400, a lot more people will be able to enter, making it less of a privilege lol.

Also didn't I come up with this idea first?

I'm just afraid that if we make it too exclusive, not enough people will join it.

And yes, it is your idea. I simply put it in motion ;)

Mostly just dedication to monitor the factions in the separate forums.
While daily visitations aren't necessary, FADMs are the equivalent to moderators.
They can request a faction to be taken down if deemed inappropriate, and organize faction events (although agreement from the Faction ADMs is recommended).

Sounds like you're trying to enforce this on all fleets?

  • Must I pm Panda with a Faction Idea and then sit in a barren faction room as I try to recruit others to my dubious cause?
Or can I propose an idea, gather names, and then locate Panda and demand a room?

It's good to declare a faction first (so no one can steal your name, color, tag, etc), but you are certainly allowed to gather up brothers in arms first before sending me the list.

  • This is an experiment, hence the [test phase] so I was fully aware that there was a chance this wouldn't work.
Here is what I gather for the lack of support for this topic:
-small forum player base (there are only a room full of people who frequent the forums on a regular basis, and even smaller bunch who would want to participate in clans)
-no in-game effect (some games have clan tags and whatnot)
-tournament section already exists (and teams games would serve the same purpose as factions)
-separate forums (it's a hassle for people to switch between two forums)

So I guess the idea is frozen for now, and people can go back to their normal signatures (pretty sure only mathwhiz9 and nojo34 changed theirs). Perhaps someday in the future we can bring this out of the freezer if the house is full of party guests, but unfortunately today is not the day :(
