ESG 08 - Idea listing

  • With the (somewhat uneventful) conclusion of ESG 07 (which Emissary won), Ideas for ESG 08 can now be entered!
    As usual, in order for an idea to be eligible for voting, the title must be quoted by at least one other person (which represents an endorsement), followed by an "I like this idea" and then if wanted, a note, or modification. If the quote does not contain the title or "I like this idea" then it simply works as a normal quote for referencing.

  • Name "No Man's Land" (I believe this was tw2000's idea, but am not sure)
    Description "Cannot land on any dormant outposts, neither in the beginning of the game, nor any other time - custom balanced map"
    Diplomacy will be crucial to coordinate a successful takeover, considering the long travel times.
    Potential edit "Max of 2 sentries and 2 princesses/IOs."

  • Mutiny.

    A team game with a pre-elected captain for each team.
    Teams are picked "Captain Vs Captain style". The game plays out as normal.
    But There is a twist, as the name suggests, mutiny is involved.
    At any time in the game when the "crew" feels the captain is doing a bad job they can create a group chat with everyone EXEPT the captains. In this "mutiny" chat the crews pick a time to attack there captains. It must be simultaneous so neither team has an advantage. Once the attack has started, both teams have to focus down the captain. Teams cannot start to fight each other again until the first captain is slain.
    During the midst of battle a new captain is chosen from the remaining crew. The game continues as normal as a 4v4. Mutiny can happen as many times as the crew likes!

    Please as questions because I know it's confusing.

  • The island

    Everyone starts on the island. Every X number of hours(1 day) a vote is taken and a person is voted off the island. Everyone on the island cannot attack each other. But everyone off the island is free game for those on the island. Everyone voted off the island can do anything they want. Once over half the players has been voted off the island, the islanders may choose not to vote to keep everyone on the island. Game mode preferred domination.

    Capture the rabbits

    Everyone expands as normal and play like normal for x days (probably 3). 1/4 of the players are chosen at random to be rabbits then revealed. y days (7) are then added to the game clock. All non rabbits have y days to kill the rabbits. If both rabbits have at least 1 base left at y days, they win. Game ends when either rabbit dies.

    Hidden agenda

    There is exactly 1 kill this player task for each player. An admin not playing allows players to pick unless it was already chosen. Once all players have chosen game beings. Tasks is to kill your player but at the same time prevent someone else from completing their task.

    The 3 v 3 v 3

    Teams are split into prearranged teams and battle it out for victory.

    Generator heavy/Production heavy

    The goal of the game is the first to reach 800 capacity/800 production

  • Hop, skip, and jump!

    You can only launch/reroute/target subs which will take more than 20 hrs to arrive at the desired outpost/sub.
    Yup, this means smugglers, helmsmen, and admirals are bad. :(

  • Name "Special Missions"
    Description "Balanced Domination mode (50 outpost win condition, but players can instead complete their special mission to win). Before the game starts, each player is given a special mission by random, akin to those in the board game Risk. All players should be aware of the other possible missions, and play accordingly. Players should not reveal their mission to others. In order for a mission to be completed, the conditions must hold true for 18 consecutive hours. A screenshot should be provided as proof.
    There are 20 missions [brackets indicate in a 10 player game]:
    1-10 Eliminate player X (one for each player)
    11 Own 1/4 of all outposts [25], each stationed with at least 20 drillers
    12 Own 3/8 [19] of all generators on the map, each stationed with at least 20 drillers
    13 Own 3/8 [19] of all factories on the map, each stationed with at least 20 drillers
    14 Own all outposts starting with the letter "S" [16] (http://pastebin.com/R81kJNgw)
    15 Own all outposts starting with the letter "A", "H", and "O" [16] (http://pastebin.com/U5YHjnK7)
    16 Own exactly 24% [12] of all generators and 24% [12] of all factories, each stationed with at least 25 drillers
    17 Capture and hold at least 8 enemy specialists (saboteurs and assassins only count for 0.5 each), eliminations do not count
    18 Own 1/5 [20] of all outposts on the map, all except one having at most 25 drillers.
    19 Have 4 more specialists than anyone else, assassins and saboteurs only count for 0.5 each. Achieved through elimination of enemy specialists/receiving gifts.
    20 Station 350 drillers and 8 promoted specialists on one outpost, (including gifted/hypnotized ones).

    Feedback needed to make sure the missions cards are balanced! The idea is that all should be as equally difficult as eliminating another player. RNG will be used by a forum member not playing to determine who gets what cards. Elimination cards do not have to equal the other cards in quantity.
