COLD WAR 2.0

A couple of months ago we played a game in which nobody was allowed to move or hire until 10 specialists were able to be hired. I think it's time to play this game again, however, with a couple of slight alterations:

    - Players can move to dormant outposts which are regarded theirs by proximity (should be 5 outposts for each player)
    - IF a diplomate comes up for hire, it should be hired, since the cold war was partly fought by diplomates

Let me know if you want to take part!

Player list:
    - KORF
    - Nojo34
    - Niverio
    - mm1menace
    - Mathwiz9
    - Rakata
    - Roozbeh
    - Bangerz (?)

Please read viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1647&hilit=cold+war first for any further reference.

I loved that game!!!! It was one of the most exciting thing ever hiring 10 specs at once!!! Count me in done and done!! I love that you revived this korf!!
One question, regarding the diplomat rule: So if you have w diplomat up for hire, you HAVE to pick it no matter what? And if you have one up for hire in the 10 day "pre game" are you allowed to hire the diplomat?

Yeh, why not. Round two, and I like these rules better. Can we make it a gen heavy map?

Yeah, that would make it more interesting, and that way you dont need 7 billion minister of energies like last time.

Yeah, we don't necessarily have to do it, but I thought it would add something to the setting of the cold war, since in reality it wasn't fought by war but by bureaucracy anf diplomacy. Therefore capable diplomates are the key to winning a cold war, and we should oblige to these facts. (or not, if they're considered to be a little annoying..)

How about if we are required to hire the first diplomat available, but we only need one?

They are a little redundant as a specialist. ;)

I think that would work a bit better, yes. When you hire your third diplomat, you kinda miss out on useful specs. I'm down for mandatory first diplomat hire, then not again after that if you don't want
