No he changed the rules. It's a normal game because mining tricks can be used to force someone else to take the gold. No resignation needed, once the game is over whoever is in second wins

I don't think the first placer getting a medal matters, and I'm not a fan of resignation and having my resign rate go up, like Dane. I suggest it works like this:

When somebody wins, the actual winner is whoever is in 2nd at that time.

Simple.

It is an interesting situation, cuz I really really do not care one way or the other about a gold medal going anywhere. On my record, the loser's record, it's trifle. Sort of a useless stat in my eyes. I hate resigners, though! That is something I take notice of when I look at new peeps. And I don't think anyone here (in a casual forumers' game) is gonna legit try and mine their way to a gold medal.

It doesn't matter who's.
