Random Team Tourney
Posted: Tue Feb 07, 2017 11:41 amRight then. Firstly, I'm fully aware I have a lot going on at the moment. But I have an idea I want to be out there. This tournament will be very different in a few respects, because most tournaments are such big things the maker just decides 'Same old, same old' These are the differences from a normal team tourney:
- Players can join at any point.
- Teams are randomised.
- Teams change every game.
So when you sign up, you're added to the sign up queue. After all running games have finished (or when we get enough people) everyone in the games has 24 hours to say if they wish to leave the tournament. After this time, all the players in previous games who haven't left are put together with the sign up queue and put into some games with random teammates. After games, players gain points based on position, individually, and at the end points are divided by number of games played. So if I got 15 points in 3 games my end score would be 5. Not all games are the same though. We will play all the following team game types (providing we get enough people) and the points for positions will be (first to last)
2v2v2v2: 32/27/23/19/15/11/8/5
4v4: 30/27/24/21/14/11/8/5
3v3: 24/21/18/11/8/5
2v2: 16/13/8/5
Once the game ends, all your team's score is added and divided by team members for a final point earning for you.
