Hi everyone, I'm hosting a 1 Vs 1 tournament, hoping to get 16 to 32 players.
No diplomacy to worry about!! A game where you can only rely on your skills

Details:
Map will be balanced and the game will be mines
Games will be casual unless both players agree to ranked

Rules:
None! (Except the code of conduct)

Brackets
Would you guys like pools to rate everyone and then transition into elimination or do you guys want straight up elimination?

Pools
Good players won't get eliminated first round
More games

Elimination
Less games
Might get bad matchups

Consolation
Gives players a chance to continue if eliminated first round

Good luck to everyone and may the best player win

Feel free to start playing against your opponent as soon as both of you are ready, for the first couple of games, wait a week or two for your opponent to join if he doesn't, then mention it, later we'll make it an automatic loss after a week of waiting without a good excuse

I wish there are enough participants for this to go on. That being said, I won't participate myself, because I believe that a 1v1 is 5% skill and 95% starting / hire luck.

You probably won't get enough people. I'm in if you do get enough. We'd need Juanma back thoug, he crushes at 1v1

I hosted a single elimination tournament before, it worked pretty well. I'd say that's the best way to go, unless you plan on having people playing multiple 1v1s at once

I'm in, prepare to die.

Although I'm rated ~1000 right now so I'd have to beat the #1 seed to get through to round 2.

What if we make this 12 players and double elimination?

Easier to host (fewer people), enables the players to get up after a mistake.

Without Niv in, that may be me. I'm at 1488. You can beat me 1v1, or you have in the past.

If we do pool, everyone will play everyone else is their pool (thinking pools of 4 players) and will be placed in the elimination round by their placing in the pool play, rating won't matter

I'm thinking of posting it and staying the games as soon as we have around 8 votes for what kind of game we want to play
