Dear community,

We are reaching out with some sad news about our beloved game, Subterfuge. On october 1 we will be shutting down the backend servers that run the game, and in preparation for this we have delisted the game from Google Play and Apple's App Store.

There are two main reasons for this. One is that both Apple and Google require us to update the game to more recent versions of their APIs if we want it to remain listed on their stores. Neither of us has the bandwidth to devote to these updates as we are both working on another project (together!). The other reason is that for a while now Subterfuge hasn't generated enough revenue even to just cover the cost of running the game's servers. We didn't mind covering that cost for the community, but with the update requirements now upon us it's become harder to justify continuing to run the servers.

It's been a lovely 7 years of having this game out in the wild! It was a niche game, but those who loved it, LOVED IT. Thank you for your support over the years, and we hope you will remember this time fondly!
