hi everyone,

we just put up a new android build into our alpha that should fix our two biggest crash-on-load bugs on ANDROID. if you'd like to give it a try and you're already part of the alpha, just go here and update (it should be version 456. if you're not seeing that version in the link below, try restarting your phone, sometimes devices get out of sync with google servers):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... subterfuge

if you are not registered as a subterfuge tester on android, you can become one by signing up here:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/co ... subterfuge

WE ARE ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN HEARING FROM THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH CRASHES ON STARTUP!

thanks!

ps: we also added a settings page that allows you to control sounds and push notifications.

Settings page looks clean. You'll get people wanting more granular controls, but consider if it's worth making the page more complicated. It'd involve checkboxes or many sliders, at least for these:
  • Attacks coming in
  • Subs passing by
  • Mines being drilled
  • Specialist hires available
  • Other players making hires
  • Subs arriving at empty outposts
  • Subs getting in a fight
  • Subs taking over an outpost
  • Subs losing a fight.

Just wanted to list them, I'm gonna want all notifications for the near future anyway. ;-)

So far, so good with this test version.

First off, I am loving the game, thank you for the hard work.
Can you talk a bit about the tweaks in low power mode? I've heard mention of the frame rate?..

yup, 30fps instead of 60fps. there are more things we can add later, but that's the only thing it does right now.
