While that might be a viable game mode, its doesnt actually solve the problems brought up in this thread. Actually if you think about it- it highlights the problem. Basically you will be garunteed that the last player alive on a team will have every spec hired by their former teammates. Also, you are guaranteed that one player will be stacking everyone's Kings throughout the game.
I also just dont think Team Deathmatch is viable at high level play because of how global effects work, and how effective turtling is. Basically the strongest play would be for the team to gift their outposts and their global effect specs to one best/hardcore player, and then the rest of them turtle.
And even if TD were viable, all the tools are available to do it on your own. Just make the rules clear at the beginning, and tell people what team they are on. Its not that hard to set your sub to gift, rather than have the game do it for you.
