War Hero is the only promoted specialist with no global..

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • Does anybody know why?

My best guess is that to attack a sentry it is most efficient to send waves of subs with 20 drillers - who are then all killed when the sentry is promoted.

However, many people avoid war heros because they are only useful in the early game (for the most part).

    Thoughts?

  • War hero is just very clutch and very specific. I think he fits a perfectly fine role, as nobody ever expects him. I've only used him once and I got a compliment as it changed the entire fight dynamic, but I know how to use him now. I honestly believe the only way to balance him is to leave him untouched but give more specialists promotions.

  • He does seem a little underpowered because of his lack of a global, but he does what he needs to do very well. The chance of promoting a sentry to a War Hero makes attacking an outpost with a sentry at it unfavourable. He can be useful on defence and offence, and becomes a lot more useable when coupled with other specialists, such as a helmsman.

  • Actually, for 2 hires you are getting a specialist that kills 20 drillers.
However, for 4 hires you are getting 2 specialists which travel faster and make every one of your specialists worth an extra 2 hires.
I can't see how that makes sense.

  • Which two specialists are you referring to with the four hires?
