Any interest in a combat simulation?

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • See my ideal simulator would have you create 4 or 5 outposts, and state the distance between each one and all the current details. Yours seems simpler and easier to use though, which is good. my standards are to high for me to actually make the one I want. :P

    Yeah, that's ideal but I don't think I want to basically make a sandbox version of the game. Maybe that could be a long term plan, but I want to get this simpler one working first.

  • Well does anyone know how to obtain the source code for the game? That would make things a lot simpler.
    I think its just perhaps that we all know the internet can't be trusted, and that's probably why the Devs aren't so happy about us trying to help them with community needs by lending us their source code...
    Or does anyone know what language its coded on? I think I heard them talk about it during their AMA but I forgot so...

  • It's C/C++ iirc

    I don't see why people keep expecting the devs to release the source code of their game. Is that a normal practice for mobile games that are being monetized? I am not big on phone gaming.

    I'm developing mine in Java in Eclipse because I am familiar with both and no longer have a copy of Visual Studios for C# which I am also fairly familiar with.

    I don't know if Java was the best choice for this project, but it's a pet project I was making for myself that I thought others may enjoy access to, so I figured I'd make this thread.

  • I highly doubt the devs will release the source code ever. I wouldn't mind having them answer a few general questions about it though, like how many lines of code they had to write.
