    AMEN to that! I second #2, stick to your word. That is what makes you a good player. Don't ally with 6 different players just to back stab half of them at the end. You can always say no if someone asks for an alliance, i usually go with lets start with non aggression and see where it goes, I can't commit to an alliance before the game even starts.

    Yay!! Finally someone else 'lawyering their way through Subterfuge' (quoting someone here, I forgot who lol). But yeah I agree, your honesty will pay off in the end :)

    That would be me from last ESG I believe :).
    Depending on the situation and my experience with other players I'll take a different approach. Though when declaring war it depends on other allies as well - in the same game I attacked someone w/o warning and prior warning (sorry Stefan) because my allies were as well, but also had a reasoned discussion before war (SirRobin and AdmiralAdama).
