This has been bothering me for a while so I thought I would finally address it. Can we please stop posting under every new suggestion about how it will probably never happen because the devs are gone?
BONUS THOUGHT: Check In Between every line.
It may be true that the devs have left (which is actually still debatable since their most recent update and promotion of moderators) but it really brings all this doom and gloom that does not need to be on the forums. The forums have never really been about whether or not these ideas are possible even when the devs were active. The forums have been about us enjoying this game that we really love with other people just as passionate about this game. This passion has brought about all sorts of fun discussions about new ideas for specialist, stories of lore, and just chatting with others. Even though none of those discussions have had an impact on the game of Subterfuge, it has had an impact on us and has grown the community as a whole.
Should we really be shutting down every new player who tries to talk about something that has already been discussed? Honestly, I feel a little mixed about this. On one hand, I love to see new players develop their ideas about the game and strategies within the game. However, they don't really have many people to discuss it with since we already had our share of the topic. They could just go and read our discussion about it, but it is much more impersonal and doesn't help their personal growth in Subterfuge.
So can we please quit constantly bringing up that the devs have left Subterfuge. It is hazardous for the growth of the forums by pushing away new players. There isn't really any reason why we should let the possibility of the devs leaving affect our enjoyment of the game and imagination of ideas of what might have been.
Thanks for reading this side rant within a rant for whoever bothered to read my small print. I wanted to discuss that too but due to my conflicting opinion decided just to leave it as a side thought for you to think about.
