Balance Update Ideas. Ron and Noel want your opinion.

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • I like the idea of a smuggler troop. Essentially, if you launch a sub with a smuggler, he doesn't appear on your opponent's radar until he's at 50% of their sonar range.

  • I dont like how he uses electricity decrease as a nerf for all these specialists. Tycoon should just lose the local ability of +3 per cycle and thats it. War heroes are fine too. Kings should be made to kill 1 for every 4 instead of 3 if anything. Princesses should stay the same since they are one of the worst specialists already and the range boost is the only thing i fet them for. Infiltrator should stay the same but should be promoted so they are like a general but for killing sheilds instead of drillers. The diplomat should be able to promote so it can get you other peoples captured specialists as well. The elder needs to be buffed so that it can use its ability on every combat in its sonar range. Minister of energy should only add 200 or 250, but not decrease production. Sentry should fire slower but more powerful. Double agent should return after doing its job so that its not a one time thing, but should return the specialists instead of switching them.

  • Hypnotist should be promoted to an hypnotist grade 2, who can capture any spec within sonar post range. A further promotion makes the king. So to have 2 kings you need 2 hires and 4 further promotions, instead 2 hires and 2 promotion needed right now

    This is actually a brilliant idea.. It solves the problem of getting a lot of kings early game and the hypno 2.0 sounds like a fancy specialist I would like to play with!

  • Just wanted to trow in my ideas of how to fix stacking:

    The most problematic specialists seem to be Tycoons, Kings and Admirals. I think the reason why stacking them is so powerful is that they don't give you a debuff that stacks along with their abilities. Here are my ideas:

    King - Reduces driller production by 25%, does not affect shields
    Tycoon - reduces regular sub speed by 0.25
    Admiral - reduces driller cap by 100
    MoE - reduces all shields by 10, does not affect production

    That would hopefully encourage players not to stack 2-4 of the same specialist, but it won't be impossible either.


    About the sentry/princess/intel officer stacking, I thing it would be nice if the sobar range increase would be calculated in area and not radius. That way they wont stack exponentially.
