  • This is a minor side project that could be fun if your folks are interested.

Today Gentlemen and Gentlemen we will ask the question that itches the back of all our minds like insatiable burning rash from past desires forlorn.

Over the course of the week(in subterfuge fashion) I'd like to scratch that itch with polls on who everyone's favorite specialist. To give the all specialists a chance, I feel as though they should be judged not on merely combat or utility prowess alone. These categories of judgment to be considered are as follows:

Appearance- Are they fly? Does their mustache make Tom Sellec jelly? Are they 2kawai4u? dress and all manner of sweg- Thier Icon is a part of this.
Quote- What specialist Quote inspires you. There are some great ones out there and how well does it pair with that specialist?
Strats- Are the fun to use? Are the interesting to play with and against?

Because the specialists are too large there will be 4 polls based on how they are separated on the wiki- then the top 2 from each poll will go into a finale.

    Offensive
    Defensive
    Other
    Promoted

So tell me what you think and I can dash it all together.

  • Hmm. I don't know how you fill make it poll wise G, but I can tell you my favorite specialist in this fashion. I would like to call...

Hah. All of you were waiting the Admiral, right? Not this time folks.

It is true that I love Admirals the most in game strategical wise, but when it comes to flavour, design and impact, there is actually one who stands above all for me. And his name...

    Is Double Agent.

Yeah you heard me right this time. And I have countless reasons.
First, the mustache. Please. Nuff said.
Second, the quote. One's true nature is only revealed when the stakes are high. So true, and so much applicable to everyone's everyday life. And it also leads to philosophical questions but lets leave it at that.
And finally, I think the double agent adds a unique flavor to the gameplay itself. I found myself the most satisfied when I outplayed someone using a Double Agent (or Triple Agent in most of the cases). It also creates a mindplaying field with your opponents, and it is just a challenge on its own.
    DA for the win!
Imagine how stupid the average person is. Then realize that half of the people are even stupider than that.

  • Love the Diplomat. My game is nearly 90% diplomacy and to know that there is a specialist that would just ring up the opposing queen and be like "hey maybe you should just release our Engineer, huh?" is just cool.

Of course I never ever pick him.
Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds...
