I sometimes struggle with the color choices and combinations due to being mildly color blind to reds browns and greens. A red blinking indicator on a brown sub is very hard to see. I literally have to look for the change in motion, not the addition of color. I can only see the difference if I zoom all the way in and look closely.

I know there is a mood you're going for, so bright primary colors probably won't work, and changing shapes is weird.

As a half measure, could you at least outline the red blinking dot in white or something?

I realize this is a bit of a necro, but I figured it would be better to put this here than create a new thread. I've also been having trouble with some of the colors, especially the "brownish" colors. It is even worse when the outposts are in the FOW. I have to click on the outpost and look at the name to confirm whom it belongs to.

Just wanted to add another vote for a color blind mode.
