Queen is an amazing offensive specialist

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • With inspector, you basically work as a specialist that destroys 30 enemy drillers.
Combine with smuggler and none of your base can ever be taken.

Right now I'm playing against someone with much larger military force (200/day vs 90/day) but not as many specialists (I captured all but the enemy tycoon and one assassin), and I have a general, lieutenant, and inspector. Right after capturing an enemy base I sent the queen towards the front to solidify the frontline, and destroyed a lot of enemy drillers basically for free (shield+specialist effects).

    Sorry for the clickbaity title.

  • Hmm... Very interesting. I can see how this would be a good strategy. I only have one problem. What if your opponent stockpiles a bunch of drillers at the outpost before your queen gets there. Your stratagy doesn't actualy improve the offensive but it makes the defense/counterattack a lot easier to handle. If you had princesses or a navigator your stratagy could be pretty good. Also you might have a problem hireing specialists and getting them around to the places they are needed quickly. These are just my thoughts but also remember that a stratagy is neither good or bad. They are just more useble or less useable. Hope this sheds some light on this topic.

  • I'm starting to use the Inspector as an offensive forward deploy specialist as well. Especially if my enemy tries to send constant streams of drillers to my outpost.

Though, in the current game I'm in - there are no 20 shield outposts which is a unique experience for me so I felt it lessened the value of the Inspector

  • I believe Ron uses this strategy haha.

It's a solid strategy in general, but there are plenty of counters to it. Use carefully, I'd say. Be absolutely positive you'll win the battles you send your queen into, and be absolutely sure there won't be any assassins or martyrs there.

  • Having the queen on your front lines actually gets specialists to where the need to be much quicker.
