  • I was in this game! Youd be amazed how many times you can ask someone to gift you a queen.

Did he really ask you that? And he was the one who attacked you first, right?

Yep. About 5 times when I was down to one base.

  • Lol i knew this was what this topic was gonna be about before i even opened it. Personally i'd say lets leave the details of said game in the game and keep the topic on the ability to mute, and not brown.

I too have had a situation or two where i would have muted someone given the ability. But out of the 25 games or so i've played its been pretty rare. Not sure if i think we really need the fature in the long run.

  • I second this, though maybe it should include a warning saying that communication is important in Subterfuge: if you mute them, you will not know if they tell you something useful.

You're right, of course. I did kind of enjoy venting, though ;)
I mean, these situations are rare. Like I said, this is the first game of subterfuge that I seriously didn't enjoy. But, even though it is rare, it's miserable when it happens. Enough that it ruined the other two games that I'm playing concurrently, because brown would see I was online and launch into another bombardment of notifications. Maybe this happens once in a hundred games, but I still think that's enough to make it worthwhile.

Agreed. In terms of game balance, it's not good for the person doing the muting. It'll keep people from abusing the feature, which is good.

  • Just emailed the devs. They say it's on their list, so I'm excited for when that comes out.

  • Wait but you shouldn't be muting them. Just make it so that they don't give you any notifications when they message you.
Maybe as an option you could also limit the number of messages they send you everyday?
