Project: Lucky Straw
Put on by: PANDA SEEEECRET
Premise: Randomized Specialist Game Mode
Rules:
-Each player is given a number(1,2,or 3) that determines what they hire from their Queen. The numbers are randomly selected using a Google Drive and are given as a sequence to each player: 21232123111231 Example.
1: Utility Specialists: Engineers, Diplomats, ETC
2: Offensive Specialists: Lieutenant, Thief, ETC
3: Defensive Specialists: Inspector, SMUGGLER, ETC
-A player can 'burn' a hire by instead Promoting a promotable specialist (Inspector, Tinkerer, ETC)
-A player must Use their Hire upon receiving it or when possible (In the case that your Queen is in transit)
Hypothesis: I predict that Promotable specialists will have the highest value as they are more general purpose compared to Single Hire Specialists and can be adjusted to your play style via promotion.
ie: Sentry-Defense > War Hero-Offense
Engineer-Production > Engineer-Offense or Defense
Bulbasuar-Grass type> Ivysuar- Grass/Poison type
You also have plenty of opportunities to upgrade them because sometimes there are just specialists you just don't want- (Cough) Diplomats (Cough)
I also Predict that the trading of specialists may be a thing in order to complete certain specialist combos. An awful diplomatic Hell that it might be. A Navigator gift could be Hilarious.
I don't think that diplomacy will be affected- except by specialist gifting. If you see a hypnotist- hide your specialists hide you wife and beat that person to a unidentifiable pulp.
Everybody can see what category of specialists you will be able to hire via the Google Drive shared by Panda Secret so you can make an assumption as to what play style people will pick up. You see a bunch of 2's, you can probably bet they're gonna go to war- 3? Prepare for turtle. 1? Kill him he might get a hypnotist.
I personally won't look because that's not how this game mode would work if it where to become a thing.
Will be back for Daily updates. I can make a short video series if demand is high.
