How many games do you play at once?

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • I am probably going to upgrade to L2 soon but I was wondering what a good number of games to play in is. If you are in too many then you lose track but with two few it isn't worth it. So what is the happy medium? 2? 3? What are your thoughts?

  • I mean truly it depends on how much free time you have. I myself work a full time job and would like to sleep every once and a while. Over time I have found that 3 is my happy number-
The amount allows me be able to remember most of the interactions between other players- Who's sneaky and who's cool- as well as allow me to address one game when things get intense without completely losing sight of the others.

At one point I had about seven games and it was just too stressful. Even if two of em where couch potato games, the other where crying babies.

Babies...Games are like babies. Got only enough time for 1 or 2 kids without them becoming neglected and you want to shower them with quality time and affection? Cool. Are you a super dad who can remember every birthday, never mix up names, and still remember to tell your Ally that you love her? Then maybe 4 or 5 games is for you.

Wanna get intense? Maybe open up a doc page or a notebook and try to keep notes so you don't get mixed up.

TLR didn't read- 1 and 2 too slow and 4 and 5 gets too crazy. 3 is enough for me!

But If you're a try hard go ahead and have just one- Also have an Excel sheet with specialist probabilities of your opponents and proposed driller locations based on movement. Maybe Mtn Dew will sponsor you.

  • I'm usually 2-4, no more than 4! I slumped when I played that much

  • You probably shouldn't do what I do, but I play about 10 games at once. Maximum I've ever had was 18, and that was just a plain mess  3-5 is a good number to play

  • I played 3 games for about a week, and was glad when the first ended. Usually 2 games is enough for me, in different phases. (One starting when the other is about halfway.)

But I'd like to try playing 3-4 again if I have a week off from work.

  • I oscillate between 3 games at a time and only one at a time. I find that if I get any more than 3, one game gets ignored completely.

  • I normally play 2 or 3, and I join a new one when one of the ones I'm in is basically finished.

  • One. But that's because I really hate the idea of losing and want 100% focus on every game.

What I will do though, is join my new game while the previous game is in the last 3 days or so. It takes time for the new game to get going, and the final day or two of the previous game is usually not very important because there isnt enough time for problems to arise.

  • I just got my L2 and the jump from playing one game to multiple was confusing. But after the first set of games its gotten better. I'm playing 3 now, but I'm going to limit it to only one ranked and 1 or 2 unranked ones

  • I used to play 2 games at a time, with a two to three day starting difference.
Now I increased the amount to see how it turns out, and im gonna see how playing 3 games at once works out.
I will always only ever play one ranked at a time, and give that one most attention since that will actually affect your ranking.
