Poll: If an update could have 3 last things...

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • At this point, there may only be 1 or 2 more updates to the game before our devs move on to new projects. Given that each update has included about 3 things, if you could choose which 3 things the next update has, which 3 would they be? Remember that the things you DONT choose would then probably never be added to the game.

    If your choices have been discussed on the forums before, theres no need to open up discussion about that specific idea again in this thread. However, links to the threads where they were discussed are encouraged.

    Here's a list of some of the most popular ideas (feel free to add any I have left out, if you'd vote for it over everything else on the list):

    -Make anonymous anonymous (hide online indicator in completed games, prohibit friend invite in public games)

    -A new specialist or two

    -Nerf the King (and other spec balances)

    -Fix bugs and/or illogical mechanics (like launch window exploits)

    -Make the joining process fair (prevent quitting out of bad seats, give late joiners equal time for diplomacy, etc)

    -Fix domination mode (We never made a thread about this, but domination is pretty broken. Id suggest significantly lowering the number of outposts required for win, or set a master clock limiting how long a game lasts)

    -Interface improvements (links for outposts, option to hide notifications for certain games)

    -Mute option

    -Hide medal option

    -New monetization options (like a color pack)

    -Guild/Clan feature

    -New game mode (like King of the Hill, etc)

    -Tournaments (this would likely be a massive undertaking if work hasnt already been started. might not be realistic at this point. if you choose this, make this your only choice!)

    -Quick Games (lasting between 1-3 hours each. also a big undertaking. If chosen, make it your only choice).

  • Quick games would be good. I think that would bring in a whole new set of players, like the ones who don't want to check all the time, just a quick(er) play.

    And my final thought: WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE DOMINATION??? Can someone please explain to me what is so wrong with it?!?!?

  • Quick games would be awesome, we already have tournaments in place, there are so many forums posts dedicated. 1-2 more specialists is on the top of my list.

    Math, domination isn't fun because either it takes 3 days, or 3 week to finish. Removing mines takes out an in game timer
    Simply put, my job here is to keep the forums afloat through any means necessary

  • 1. Bugfixing because a game should be bug free at the end of development

    2. Fix domination mode. Maybe let the games creator determine the amount of outposts.

    3. New specialist because I have an obsession with board games and I am always happy with many specialist choices

    3. Fix bugs and/or illogical mechanics. (specifically the time machine being inconsistent and throwing off move orders. Also the mechanics of how the game behaves during the launch window is really problematic.)

    (if I could have 4, I'd love to finally give the devs some cash for a color pack!)

  • My 3 things

    1: warden and mercenary specialists
    (Move navigator to an offensive specialist, warden as other, mercenary promotes from thief)
    2. Make anonymous have a color and map change, each player at the beggining of the game is labeled (player#x) then, when it starts, the map generates randomly. (Players get to pick the Color they get)
    Player names and the opportunity to medal is given when the game ends
    3.Level 3 clearance for new modes such as king of the hill and others.

    THERE IS NOT ENOUGH OFFENSIVE CLASS SPECIALISTS (only 5)


    New specialists
    Warden(other): allows player to move captured specialists

    Mercenary(promoted from thief) allows execution of enemy specialists. Upon execution, that player loses 1 driller per production cycle and and the executed steals 10% of thief neptunium. Travels 2x slower than ordinary subs

  • I don't see a problem with domination. It is a longer game, and some committed players like that. I get most of my medals in domination. It's pure warfare, we don't like timers

    I totally understand that but I think that ultimately the devs should leave the choice up to the games host sort of like the choice of factory or generator they could choose long, medium, or short. This will in the long run appeal to more players depending on thier preferences.

  • 1. Bug fixes. There seem to be quite a few piling up, some of which can be game-breaking.

    2. New specialists. Would be cool to see what the devs can think of for some new game-changers

    3. Way to give them my money. I like color packs or just a "donate" button.

    (Making ANON completely ANON wouldn't take too much work and neither would making joining games fair so I wouldnt mind seeing these thrown in)
