[Feature Request] More Accurate 'Online' Indicator

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • ^this right here. I like the nuances and paranoia of not knowing what online actually implies.

    Haha, you're absolutely right. And it's a simpler ui, which is hugely important.

  • I think it would be better to have the messages in the chat window work like in WhatsApp (and probably in other chat programs). When a message has been read (that is, the player has come into the chat room, not viewed the notification on their phone's home screen) a little 'tick' icon should appear next to the message.
    In multi-chat rooms, the tick could be in the players color, so you know which of your allies has received a message or not.

  • I'm not a fan of this. It makes it seem like all my opponents are like my ex girlfriend (freaked out on me for not replying to her text messages when I had forgot my phone.) Sometimes I need time to think about a response and it takes me a while to think of something that makes sense so having my opponent know that I have seen his messages isn't very appealing to me. I like the messaging system as it is

    The reason I suggest it is because many people play multiple games at once, and one game may be very active at a given time and not allow time to check other games right away. The distrust this creates is a something of a punishment for these people.

    I don't mean to overblow this. It's a small suggestion, for a small solution to a small problem.
