Monetization Idea - Clans or Guilds

Strategy, feedback, or anything SUBTERFUGE-related

  • This idea gets my two thumbs up! Clans do give a sense of belonging and responsibility which would encourage players, both L1 and L2, to continue to play!

Some other random ideas for clans could be that they give you some bonus for joining them. I heard suggestions of unlocking icons to be put on your bases, and unlocking them through guilds sounds like a great implementation of this. Or it could be other small visual perks.

You could also have guild ranks, this could be done by either just adding up the ranks of all the members in the guild or you could have a system to level up your guilds. You could gain experience for leveling up through either guild vs guild battles or maybe you could a little experience simply by joining and playing any match, so less experienced players could help even if they aren't good enough to play in guild vs guild. Maybe these guild ranks could help unlock some of the bonuses (such as base icons) as you level up.

Here was just some quick ideas I had just because I like the idea and want to see more people help develop it.

P.S. They should definitely call them fleets. Just Saying.
Zyxe? Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time.

If an L1 feels a sense of community, its much less likely that they quit, and much more likely that they buy L2.

I agree, supporting and engaging L1s is needed.

Games that are fleet v. fleet and possibly fleet v. fleet v. fleet (depending on the ease of implementation) with rankings similar to the existing while also affecting individual player rankings is how I am envisioning it.
Taking a state whole is superior.
Destroying it is inferior to this.
