Here is how it works for me:

0. it was good to take a few hours break after playing 5 games in a row - will not play more than 3 at a time from now on

1. lets start/join a game

2a. [1 hour after] it will kake 26.3 hrs for that sub to reach Vintgar and weekend is on the corner, lets start a new one...
2b. two games is perfect

3a. [1 day after] RumRunner has invited me to join a game, lets just have a look...
3b. oh, its anonymous; oh, I have a nice cluster to start with; oh, I have a nice colour - I am definitely in, wonder which one is RumRunner?
3b. three games is manageable anyways

4a. [a few seconds after] that sub has still not reached Vintgar and there is this poor orphan game lying on the bottom of the public games list for days - I'll just have a glimpse into it...
4b. oh, such a nice starting position; oh, Ser Flx and Sydogg are there too - been some time; oh, I am Teal - lets do it baby!
4c. I played 4 games in a row once, was not perfect but its the weekend so I should be able to handle all this

5a. [2 days after] Vintgar is mine and I am getting e Smuggler in a few hours
5b. Feel little overwhelmed lately, should be the lack of sleep and that report which was due for Monday...
5c. Lets browse the forums to relax a little. Hmm, KevlarGolem proposes a casual game for us Knights to train newbie Squires - I always like to give advice, I am definitely in!
5d. five is definitely too much, but its a casual game and I could not miss the chance to play with KevlarGolem

6. [after 10 days of harsh gaming] I am taking a 3-days break!

I always run into the problem of too many games. I do,great when in like 2-3, but then when I get bored and add more games up, it starts becoming an issue of too much and decreased performance

I was playing 15-20 games at a time for about 4 months, but lately just been down to 3-4 games, not out of performance decrease or time constraint, but honestly just got bored of the game. It is getting too backstabby and lots of gang ups before game even starts, cant be very diplomatic.

Currently in 4 custom games and 1 regular game. Generally I try to keep around 2 or 3 and keep them at different stages of the game so once beginning, one middle and one end. One time I had joined 2 - 3 games at the same time and agreed to swap bases with 1 player in one game and forgotten. I thought he was attacking me and said its war and he was confused and then I realized it was my mistake. I gave him some drillers for the confusion. I had to keep looking back at chat in the game to remember who was friendly in each game before I launched any attack. It was a bit confusing.

that was actually my impression in a higher ranked game (my first one). Maybe just because me being one of the ganged up guys, but also very backstabby.
Personally, I love fair/close fights and good alliances where you can work together closely.
