I agree with chewy, if they are leaving, it would be nice to have some kind of notice, parting words, assurances the servers will stay up, etc.

I wonder exactly how true this really is. Yes, most of us have seen the chart where we see how much money the game failed to earn...
But that production money is already spent. Now 95% of the work is done, and that 5% is what can be added in updates. That 5% is also where the money is made. Do you think free MOBAs that made all their money at release? Hell no. They make it by releasing new skins and other bullshit that takes an artist like 1 day to make.
We keep BEGGING the devs to sell us stuff so we can fill their pockets with cash and they in turn can keep supporting the game. Instead they keeping trying to add value to L2 which was too good of a value in the first place.
Outwitters made this same exact mistake. They only thing they ever really sold were other teams, including a (too good of a value) deal which bundled both the existing teams AND all future teams. So people either never paid and played the 1 default team, or they bought the team bundle for a ridiculously low price and never had anything else to buy. Surprise surprise, the game collapsed because it wasnt making money.
Its like they spent all this money on a cow. Then when the cow was standing in front of them, they milked it one time and got 1 cup of milk out of it. That 1 cup of milk didnt come anywhere near close enough to cover the cost of the cow, so they slowly start walking away from the cow, wondering why such an awesome cow was such a poor investment. And as they tip-toe away, the cow is BEGGING to be milked again.
We are begging to be milked. (just don't butcher us by going pay-to-win)
