If a pirate can't catch something it can't target it except in some weird cases where something pauses before moving. For my plan, I don't want the pirate catching that smuggler. The idea is that the pirate + queen leave the station, the invasion sub comes in, realizes he can't hold the station against that death sub (that should be rerouting to Dejongh) and the helmsman either leaves or gets captured. Afterwards, the pirate+queen return to Dejongh having failed to catch that smuggler, coming home to a secure outpost. If the Helmsman leaves to try and trigger the Martyr, gift it
