This is the right idea. It is okay to make things that are both tricky and powerful - but not if they cannot be countered.

I think that the Intelligence Officer allowing vision of all stealth specialists and subs is a good start. However, I think that more would be necessary - you only have a certain percentage of drawing an Intelligence Officer, of course.

  • Keep in mind the Sneaky bastard can only carry one specialist- Moves a bit faster than regular subs (can be spot out) and becomes visible if you send a single sub to combat it.

  • Won't the players be able to tell the contents I the sub if they can see the outpost it launched from? Before there was a martyr and not there isn't. Hmm... I wonder we're he went. He must be on the cloaking sub. Using this logic your cloaking is useless.

Absolutely true. So, its main effectiveness comes from being launched out of an enemy's sonar range. That actually helps to reinforce both its strategic style, and its name!

  • I'd like to mention that I don't think reducing the number of specialists onboard the sub is necessary because the "bastard" takes up one of the slots any way. Reducing it to 2 slots means you can only have 1 other specialist, which doesn't allow for a lot of creativity.
