  • I bought into L2.
Multi accounts are horrible. Currently in a game where it was blatantly obvious. Player A logs out, partner B logs in with Intel provided by A. B sends out new orders & logs out. Player A logs back in.

This kind of stuff is why I end up quitting games entirely. Is there a way to ban same GPS/ISP locations from participating in same games?

Problem with banning that is then you can't have games where friends want to play together. And also, if that information is given to the players, they can use time zones to their advantage to attack at the best time. I think the best thing to do is fight multiboxers whenever you can, and just play another game. In the 190 games I've played, I think I've only had about 20 that have included multiboxers. It's not as big of a problem as everyone makes it seem.

  • How many people actually share devices, GPS or ISP locations, even if they are friends?

I think eliminating those loopholes would be better for the game as a whole. If friends want to play together, it's not hard to do it at different locations with different devices.

  • I think it's more prevalent than people realise, but it's not noticed.
You can join a game, end up losing, and not know the team that beat you a multiboxer, or a multi-game alliance. Unless one of them admits it, they blatantly log in in sequence and you notice it, or you've faced them before, how would you know?

And I think, depending on which games you join, you're more likely to be facing them. There's often 10-20 games with 1 or 2 people in the lobby in my open games list. If there are 3-4 games with 4-5 or 7-8 people in them, I'm more likely to join that game - it's probably going to start today. So games with more players in them start more often, and so games with multiboxers or multi-game alliances joining them are more likely to start, and so on.

I dunno. Maybe it's less prevalent at higher rating games.
